Salomon S/Lab Skate Blue w/ Prolink Shift Race
The S/Lab Blue model has remained a top choice over recent seasons. The cold base material is one of our favorite options in cold conditions. These have been a staple at the Birkie 4 of the last 5 years. Although their design has not changed, they now incorporate a new core material that is produced in-house. This is an exciting change that enables Salomon to make improvements and control the quality quickly, all while keeping costs down. We were able to test the new core against the old core on the Dachstein Glacier in May, and you can read more about that HERE.
These skis come with the G1 grind, which can run well in cold, dry snow, but we prefer our SC0 or SC1 grind to work in a wider range of conditions.
